TDCi do not have a lift pump, they rely on the high pressure pump sucking the fuel through. After changing the pump they often struggle to get the fuel through again. There are 2 ways to deal with this. 1. Before fitting the new filter fill it with fresh clean diesel. 2.

4 posts · Joined 2018. #3 · Jan 11, 2018. I've got a similar issue with my mk4 2.0 tdci. It turns over but doesn't start. I've been told not enough fuel going through the fuel rail. I did exact same as you before the problems started. Service with fuel filter change, fuel treatment and BP ultimate diesel fuel.
Dual Mass Flywheel gave up the ghost on Friday - luckily I managed to get it replaced yesterday morning (including clutch & slave cylinder) for the very reasonable price of £620 all-in.
